SG Crime Story · Singapore true-crime podcast

Independent reviews of a Singapore true-crime podcast — and where to hear it.

PodcastMotion is a five-person editorial desk on Tyrwhitt Road in Jalan Besar. We listen to SG Crime Story, write honest reviews of what each episode covers, and link to its Spotify page so you can decide before you commit time.

We write about the cases, the reporting, and what a listener actually learns — not about how the audio was edited. We do not host episodes, sell advertising, or claim any relationship with the programme or its makers.

What we publish

A review on this site is not a plot recap copied from Wikipedia and not a Spotify listing with adjectives bolted on. It explains what a case is about, what the episode adds to public understanding, and whether that episode is worth your hour.

When we recommend listening, we link to the programme's public page. We do not reproduce full episode catalogues or publishing schedules — those belong to the show and change without notice.

The programme deals with real crime. We discuss cases that are already in the public record, but we do not treat victims or families as content. That line is stated plainly on sensitive pages.

What we will not do

No invented episode data, no affiliate links, no rankings of other shows, and no sensational retelling for clicks.

What the programme is

SG Crime Story is a Singapore true-crime narrative podcast in English, published on Spotify. It examines real cases from the city-state and the region — disappearances that remain open, trials that dominated front pages, and crimes that exposed gaps in how institutions respond.

Our writing focuses on substance: what happened, what the episode argues, what sources it relies on, and where a listener might disagree. We link to Spotify for listening; we do not mirror the programme's episode list here.

PodcastMotion is an independent review desk published by Podcast Motion Media LLP in Singapore. We write about what SG Crime Story and similar programmes cover: cases, reporting, and what a listener learns. We are not operated by, affiliated with, licensed by, endorsed by or in any commercial relationship with SG Crime Story, with the people who make it, or with Spotify. The programme's name appears only to identify the work under review. This site does not host, stream, distribute or reproduce any audio. We sell no advertising on these pages and use no affiliate links. Links to Spotify are ordinary links to a public page.

Colourful shophouse row along a Singapore street in the Jalan Besar quarter

PodcastMotion started in 2019 when five reviewers in Jalan Besar decided Singapore deserved true-crime reviews that discuss cases, not audio-engineering jargon. Every page on this site is written for podcastmotion.pro alone.

Readers arrive from search or shared links expecting an honest answer: is SG Crime Story worth my time, and which episode should I hear first? We answer those questions directly.

Photographs show Singapore — HDB blocks, shophouses, void decks — because the podcast's subject is this city's crimes and how they are remembered. We do not use studio equipment stock photos or unrelated travel imagery.

If you are deciding whether to subscribe, read What the programme is, the full review, and the Chin Swee Road episode review before opening Spotify.

We publish slowly. A new episode review appears when listening and fact-checking are complete — not when a calendar demands content.
